Dr. Janneke Adema is a cultural and media theorist working in the fields of (book) publishing and digital culture. In her research she explores the future of scholarly communications and experimental forms of knowledge production. She also supports a variety of scholar-led, not-for-profit publishing projects, including the Radical Open Access Collective, Open Humanities Press, ScholarLed, Post Office Press (POP), and COPIM.
Vicky Checo is Community Engagement Manager at The Miami Foundation. Passionate about her roots, she's dedicated to strengthening organizations by using her knowledge to help build their infrastructure, operations and programming.
Katherine Maher is a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, Board Director for System, Inc. and the former chief executive officer of the Wikimedia Foundation. She has spent her career at the intersection of technology, human rights, democracy and international development, and has worked with UNICEF, the National Democratic Institute, the World Bank, and Access Now.
Jessica Meyerson is Co-Director for Educopia Institute, where she is chiefly responsible for ensuring smooth implementation of the organization’s strategic direction. She’s also Co-Director of The Maintainers, a global research network interested in the concepts of maintenance infrastructure, repair and the myriad forms of labor and expertise that sustain our human-built world.
Mindy Seu is a designer and researcher whose practice reimagines the history of the internet and how this might guide its future. She teaches these alternative web-based practices at Rutgers University and Yale University. She is the editor of Cyberfeminism Index.
